OralScan AI (“we”, “us”, “our”) is a wellness companion that provides observational insights into enamel health, gum condition, and brushing habits. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using OralScan AI, you agree to the practices described here.

2. Information We Collect

• Sign-up & account information: when you register or sign in we collect personal data such as your name and email address. If you sign in with Google (Google OAuth), we receive the basic profile information Google shares with us — typically your name, email address, and profile picture — solely to create and identify your account. We do not collect company or business details unless you choose to provide them.
• Scan images: photos you capture or upload for AI analysis of your teeth and gums.
• Health insights: generated scores, observations, tips, and your scan/browsing history stored so you can review trends.
• Brushing data: session duration, time of day, and technique scores you log.
• App preferences: reminder times, notification permissions, and camera connection settings.
• Usage data: anonymized analytics about how you interact with the app to improve it.

3. How We Use Your Information

• To generate AI observations and personalized tips from your scans.
• To track your progress, streaks, and achievements over time.
• To send brushing reminders you have enabled.
• To help you locate nearby dental professionals when you search.
• To maintain and secure your account and respond to support requests.
• To improve the accuracy and quality of our features.

4. AI Analysis Is Not a Diagnosis

OralScan AI observations are wellness-oriented and generated by AI models. They are not a medical diagnosis and should never replace evaluation by a qualified dentist. Always consult a licensed dental professional for diagnosis and treatment.

5. Sharing Your Information

We do not sell your personal data. We share information only as needed to operate the service (for example, with our hosting, AI, and email providers under appropriate agreements), when you choose to share a scan with a linked dental professional, or when required by law. Aggregated, de-identified data may be used for analytics and product improvement.

6. Data Security & Retention

We use reasonable safeguards to protect your information. Scan images and associated insights are stored with your account and may be deleted by clearing your history. You can request deletion of your account and data by contacting support.

7. Your Choices

• Update your name and password anytime in Settings.
• Enable or disable brushing reminders and notifications in Settings.
• Delete individual scans from your History.
• Withdraw consent for sharing scans with a dental professional at any time.

8. Children’s Privacy

OralScan AI is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their personal information. If you believe a child has provided data, please contact us so we can delete it.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will post changes here with a revised “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
